Character Interview: Thorne From Thorne: The Withering Shore by
Thorne is Jessica Jones meets Constantine. In a world where dark magic exists and chaos reigns, Rose Thorne investigates a series of disappearances across the city to uncover the truth and stop a secret society from opening doors that should be shut.
Let's get to know Thorne - welcome to this interview.
Thorne, can you start by telling me a little about yourself?
I'm not sure where to start - I feel like I've lived a thousand lives but at the moment I'm a P.I. I'm new to the city, fresh start and all that. But right now, I'm all about work. Some people would say that I'm hiding from my problems but when you've seen the underbelly of a place like I have, it's hard to sleep at night. I do what I can to set it right.
What is your favorite childhood memory?Â
All of my time at Fernnleigh. You would think that being sent off to a boarding school at a young age would be a nightmare but it wasn't. I made some of my closest friends there, I met the love of my life there. But I also discovered my power at Fernleigh and I learned how to harness it. Needless to say, I've never been the same since.
What bad habits do you struggle to overcome?Â
Jumping to conclusions. In my line of work, you can't be making assumptions. You have to look at what's right in front of you. But sometimes my intuition is screaming at me to listen. It's a balance. I'm working on it.
Is there a secret spot you like to retreat to? Where is it?Â
Of course but it wouldn't be much of a secret if I told you. I'll say this: it's not a matter of where but when.
What's your favorite drink?Â
Whiskey - neat.
That is where I land as well. I’m going to leave this on that high note. Make sure you check out Thorne!
