Monday's Musings: Air Quality, Secret Books and Author Connections
The air hates us right now but we have books!
The air is trying to kill us this week.
We went from hot weather to some smoky air. In the case of my husband with allergies and asthma - it’s pretty rough. Thankfully, it's only going into the red toward the end of this week but we will see. I hope it clears up before then.
That means its an inside week until we get green air quality in a few days. Usually that means getting all of the words done, but this week is special.
I joined the Inkfork Publishing Derby earlier in the summer and we are in the home stretch. Over the past two weeks, my secret book has been getting beta read and now I have feedback to edit the book with. So, that's this week - polishing this secret story and trying to get it into the best place before publishing.
If you are interested in getting ARC(Advanced Reader Copies), you can sign up here! ARC are where readers get free books and in turn, they leave honest reviews. These are super helpful during the release week of a new book to gain ground.
So, it’s gonna be a busy week for me!

Sometimes you fail, and that’s okay. At least the kitchen didn't smell of burnt rice anymore. It wasn't like it hadn't been editable, just smaller than expected after getting rid of the burnt rice. Still, at least I could prove my worth with breakfast. That I could nail without a problem. The bookstore this morning was the same as before so I wasn't too…
